TBHI is a fast-growing, online company with many administrative and organizational needs. We are delighted to engage bright, capable and eager Scholars to help us grow. Since 2009, we have graduated dozens of Work/Study scholars who have formed an interactive Scholar community. You are required to work for 210 hours, attend monthly meetings (by telephone/video), submit weekly reports, and interact with our Scholar team and management staff.
Up to 62 Continuing Education Units (CE Hours) are included in this program at no extra cost to you, if you need them.
As a Scholar, you will participate in an international community with many other Scholars, and must be able to get along with others in email and through monthly video meetings. To use our video system then, you must have a video cam and speakers in your computer.

The TBHI staff took time to educate me on what was expected in the scholar program and the entire staff was available to help me with any questions about assignments or processes. I felt the mentoring of the entire staff was excellent and that my contributions were appreciated. The comradery of the entire group of scholars is what you would expect to see on a college or university. I felt that I have a very strong support system with the other scholars in the program. The scholar group has been a great help for someone like me who is learning more regarding telehealth, telemedicine and telebehavioral health. The assignments gave me real life experience in how a real online business would be operate. I look forward to contributing more as a scholar with TBHI.
I found the TBHI Scholarship program when I was just starting to look into distance counseling. I wasn’t yet sure what it was about or if it was even a good idea but I wanted to know more about it. Before I was through the first course I was a total believer. I not only had access to the cutting edge research on the topics relevant to distance counseling, laws, methods and so much more but I was learning best practices, skills and practical aspects of it all that could be implemented into practice immediately. As I was getting all of that I was also becoming a part of the program by being a part of any number of projects where my existing skills were valued and put to use like research, writing and even just brainstorming. I was made to feel a valued part of the team as well as supported by Marlene and her amazing support staff. This all made for one of the best experiences I’ve been part of! I’m proud to now be a DCC and even more proud to have been part of TBHI.

The TBHI scholarship program has been incredibly rewarding for me. I have worked on tasks that I find interesting, which also have allowed me to both utilize and grow my skill set. The TBHI staff are very open to allowing scholars to work on a variety of tasks and projects that will help them grow as both students and professionals. Some of my most valuable experiences as a scholar has been through the mentorship I’ve gained from Dr. Maheu. She is very open to providing feedback, not just as a TBHI scholar, but also as a mental health student and/or professional. Overall, my experiences as a TBHI scholar has helped me grow significantly as a mental health professional and researcher.
I lived my experience at TBHI as a gym.
Of course training is cutting edge but I heartedly recommend the scholarship program. Your goal will shift from training to experiential learning within the team and the community.
The more effort you’ll invest in the experience the more you’ll benefit.
Studying at TBHI was the best thing that could have happened to me. I am based in India yet I felt totally supported by the TBHI team while taking up my courses and Dr Maheu always took out time to answer any telebehavioral queries I had during my course tenure. The scholarship program at TBHI is a blessing for anyone looking for a place to learn about telemental health.
